We Never Sell Your Data

Your personal information is never sold to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. Ever.

Location Only When Needed

We access your location during active use only — to find providers near you or share your ETA. Never in the background.

We Never See Your Card

Payment card numbers go directly to Stripe. We never see, store, or handle your full card details.

Delete Anytime

Email us and we will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days. No questions asked.

Passwords Are Unreadable

Your password is hashed with scrypt. Even our own team cannot see it. If you forget it, we can only reset it — not recover it.

Minimum Data Only

We only request the permissions the app actually needs. We do not access your camera, contacts, or photos without a direct action from you.

Location

While in use only

Used to find service providers near you and share your pickup location. Only requested when you start a service request. Never accessed in the background.

Notifications

Optional, can disable anytime

Used to alert you when your provider accepts your request, is en route, arrives, and completes service. Providers receive alerts for new job requests. You can disable this at any time in device Settings.

Storage

Secure local storage only

Your login session token and app preferences are stored on-device using iOS Keychain or Android Keystore. We do not access your camera roll or photo library.

SMS (SOS only)

Only when you activate SOS

If you activate Emergency Mode, the app opens your native SMS app to send your location to emergency contacts you have saved. The app never sends SMS automatically without your action.

Social Security or government ID numbers

Biometric data (face ID, fingerprint raw data)

Camera roll or photo library access

Contacts or address book (beyond SOS contacts you add)

Browsing history or cross-app tracking

Background location data at any time

Full credit card numbers or CVV codes

Data from children under 18

Turn off notifications Go to your device Settings → ResqRide → Notifications → toggle off. You can re-enable at any time.

Revoke location access Go to device Settings → ResqRide → Location → set to "Never." Note: location is required to use the core service.

Update your personal info Open the app → Profile → Edit. Change your name, email, phone, or vehicle information at any time.

Delete your account Email privacy@resqride.co with "Delete My Account." We permanently delete all your data within 30 days and confirm by email.
