Driver FAQ

How do I request roadside help?
Open the ResqRide app, select the service you need (flat tire, jump start, towing, fuel delivery, lockout, etc.), confirm your location, and submit. Nearby verified providers will see your job and can accept it. You'll receive real-time updates as they're dispatched.
What services does ResqRide offer?
We offer flat tire changes, jump starts, towing, fuel delivery, lockout assistance, minor roadside repairs, EV mobile charging, and EV-safe towing. Premium members get priority dispatch and discounted services.
How do I cancel or change a service request?
You can cancel a pending or accepted request before a provider marks "Arrived." Open your active request and tap Cancel. Cancelling after a provider is en route may incur a small cancellation fee to compensate the provider for their time.
What happens if no provider accepts my request?
Your request stays in the queue and all nearby providers are notified. You can try expanding your search radius in Settings. In a true emergency, activate Emergency Mode or call 911 — do not wait for a provider.
How does billing and payment work?
Payment is charged to your saved card when the job is marked complete. You'll receive an in-app receipt with a full breakdown including the base price, platform fee, tip, and any express upgrade. All payments are secured by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1).
How do I manage or cancel my Premium subscription?
On iOS: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → ResqRide → Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of your billing period.

On Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ResqRide → Cancel.

You can also email support@resqride.co and we'll assist you directly.

Provider FAQ

How do I sign up as a provider?
Download the ResqRide app, select "Provider" during sign-up, and complete the multi-step registration — this includes uploading a government-issued photo ID, entering your vehicle information, and selecting your service types. Our team reviews applications and you'll be notified when approved.
How does provider verification work?
All providers must submit a government-issued photo ID for manual review by our team. We also verify vehicle information. Providers are subject to ongoing rating reviews and can have their status suspended or revoked if safety or conduct concerns arise.
How and when do I get paid?
Earnings are credited to your ResqRide balance after each completed job. You can cash out at any time from the Earnings screen using Standard transfer (1–2 business days, free) or Instant transfer (~30 minutes, 1.5% fee). A minimum balance of $5 is required. A linked bank account is required to cash out.
What is the platform fee?
ResqRide retains a 15% platform fee from each completed job. Verified Priority Providers benefit from a reduced 10% fee on priority jobs. This covers payment processing, insurance overhead, platform maintenance, and customer support.
Can I set my own schedule?
Yes — ResqRide is fully flexible. You go online when you're available and offline when you're not. There are no minimum hours, no required shifts, and no penalties for being offline. Work as much or as little as you choose.

Safety & Emergency

What is Emergency Mode?
Emergency Mode is a one-tap SOS feature that broadcasts your GPS coordinates to all nearby providers, creates a priority roadside job, and opens your device's SMS app to alert any emergency contacts you've saved. Always call 911 first in a life-threatening emergency — Emergency Mode is a supplement, not a replacement for emergency services.
Will an SMS really be sent to my emergency contacts?
When Emergency Mode is dispatched, ResqRide opens your device's native SMS composer pre-filled with your name, GPS coordinates, and a Google Maps link. You confirm the send. Standard carrier messaging rates may apply. The SMS feature is not available on web browsers — install the ResqRide app for full Emergency Mode functionality.
How do I report an unsafe provider?
Use the "Report a Problem" option in the app after your service, or email safety@resqride.co immediately. Safety reports are reviewed within 4 hours and may result in provider suspension pending full investigation. Your identity is kept confidential during the review process.
How are providers screened for safety?
Every provider submits a government-issued photo ID before activation. Our team manually reviews each application. Verified providers display a badge in the app. Providers are continuously monitored via ratings — those who fall below our safety threshold are suspended and reviewed.
